I’m so excited to finally drop my newest collection: Exalted Sun in Aries Talismans!! These talismans are fantastic for courage, honor, wealth, and authority. Aries, a Mars-ruled sign, is the exaltation of the Sun. According to Bonatti, a planet in exaltation is “noble, honored, and elevated.” Here, the Sun begins to grow in strength and sets the stage for the astrological new year. Further and from a different source, Ptolemy says of the Sun in Aries: “it is productive of activity, leadership, and boldness.” The exalted Sun is the definition of proactivity and much can be accomplished with its influence.
Since testing, feedback has generally been “People just seem to do whatever I say now.” If you need some pep in your step, a confidence booster, or simply would like more respect, this is your ticket. The Picatrix says this of the power of an exalted Sun talisman: “whoever carries this image will seem good to everyone and not be afraid.” also to be used to “conquer other kings.”
The talismans themselves are green amazonite stones set within copper wire wrap shaped as the Sun and patinated. Why amazonite and not, say, ruby? Green is the esoteric color of the Sun. Throughout historical grimoires and lapidaries, the stones of the Sun were largely those like olivine, chrysolite (peridot), chrysoprase, and bloodstone. Amazonite is a green feldspar and one specimen was actually found in the Pharaoh Tutankhamun’s tomb; a scarab ring. The scarab is a solar insect and the creature used most often in ancient Egypt to symbolize the rising Sun. Scratched into each stone is an image from the Picatrix, “a king sitting on a throne with a crown on his head, and having the image of a crow before him…”
Exalted Sun in Aries talismans are appropriate talismanic remediations for people with Aries, Cancer, and Leo Saturns.
The Suffumigation:
Made the prior Sunday and during the Sun’s hour: saffron, amber, frankincense, benzoin, bay laurel, ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, rosemary, morning glory, and aloeswood
The Ritual:
As the number four is the number of the Sun, I remained chaste for four days and nights and took a cleansing shower prior to the ritual. I also fasted for 7 days, however, due to health reasons, I had to break it. I made sure when I broke the fast to only do so with solar foods.
An altar was made up with a yellow, gold leafed, and red cloth. Four candles painted with the various symbols and sigils of the Sun and its intelligences. Offerings included: red wheat berries, honey, bay leaves, raisins, dried mango, rosemary bread, chicken meat, apple juice, golden apples, oranges, sun-dried figs, an aged chardonnay, yellow and orange roses, four jars of 24k gold flakes, golden pheasant cock feathers, a golden brass hand carved kamea of the Sun’s magic square, a rams horn, a brass lion figure, a porcelain and gold gilded horse figure, and two majesty palm plants.
After many prayers to God, the first cast of the suffumigation was done. I then called the various angels and intelligences of the Sun including Archangel Michael, the angel, Uriel, and the Intelligence, Nachiel. I then recited the Orphic Hymn to the Sun and followed with another casting of the suffumigation. Afterwards, it was time to carve the talismans. Each pendant was carved with the above mentioned image at the exact time. More suffumigation was added and a prayer to the Sun was sung to bring the wearers of the talismans riches, fortune, respect, to also make them known and recognized. During this final prayer and within the suffumigation, I began to see apparitions of horses running out of the smoke. It was simply miraculous and something that has never happened to me; a sure sign that God had heard my prayers. To thank him, I sat in continued prayer for a great while. The once empty stones now contained the full power and might of the exalted Sun.
The Election:
The Sun rises at 22 degrees Aries during the Sun’s hour on the Sun’s day. It is dignified by exaltation and triplicity. Mars, the lord of the ascendant, which typically represents the user of the talisman, is in Aries as well, which is his own domicile. The waning Moon is in Aquarius providing an applying sextile to the Sun, a major bonus. The Moon is moving quickly and is not afflicted nor aspected by either malefic. The Sun also receives a separating square from Jupiter, also in exaltation.
